The University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a part-time Healthcare Assistant (Band 3) for its outpatient department at Ilkeston Community Hospital, with the possibility of working at additional locations including Ripley, Heanor, Long Eaton, and Ashbourne. The role requires a flexible team player who is comfortable in a multi-disciplinary environment, and while previous outpatient experience is preferred, it is not mandatory as comprehensive training will be provided. Strong organisational and communication skills are essential for maintaining the efficiency of clinics, and candidates must possess a valid driving license and access to a vehicle due to the cross-site nature of the position.

This part-time role entails 22.5 hours per week, and unfortunately, the Trust cannot offer sponsorship for this position. An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated Band 3, part time Healthcare Assistant in our multi speciality outpatient department to join our friendly team in Community Outpatients, this post will be based at Ilkeston Community Hospital, with a requirement to work at our other sites, Ripley, Heanor, Long Eaton & Ashbourne, if and when required.

As this vacancy is part time, 22.5 hours, we will not be able to offer sponsorship.

You will need to be flexible and enjoy working as part of a multi-disciplinary team involving a large number of specialities.

Previous outpatient experience would be desirable though not essential as we have a full induction programme.

The successful candidate will be required to show high levels of concentration and organisational skills along with excellent communication skills to ensure smooth and efficient running of clinics.

It is expected that the applicant will be rostered to work cross sites, so it is essential you possess a driving licence and access to a vehicle.
