The role of Medical Secretary for Vascular Surgery at Doncaster Royal Infirmary, part of Doncaster & Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals NHS FT, is a Band 3 position offering 22.5 hours per week to support Consultant surgeons. The successful candidate will manage patient pathways through robust administrative systems, utilizing Medisec digital transcription software to produce clinical correspondence for both outpatient and inpatient attendances. Experience with the Patient Tracker List (PTL) is essential, along with familiarity with medical terminology and previous clerical or secretarial experience.

The role requires strong communication skills, tact, and diplomacy when interacting with senior staff, patients, and colleagues, making the candidate an integral part of a busy, friendly team. Flexibility is key, as the position may involve working across different sites, including Doncaster Royal Infirmary and Bassetlaw Hospital as needed.
