INTENSIVE CARE UNIT NEONATAL NHS WEEKEND
The University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Senior Clinical Fellow (ST4+) in Neonatology to join their Tertiary Level Neonatal Care team for a term of 6-12 months. Located at the Princess Anne Hospital, the position involves providing clinical services in a busy Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) that handles approximately 6000 deliveries annually, including high-risk cases. The fellow will be engaged in ward work, supporting the regional transport service, and participating in follow-up clinics, with opportunities for professional development and training within a recognized center for Higher Specialist Training in Neonatology.

Candidates must possess full GMC registration, MRCPCH or equivalent, and a minimum of five years of post-graduate clinical experience, including 12 months in tertiary neonatal care. The role does not officially count as a training post but offers educational opportunities equivalent to those in recognized training positions. The annual salary will depend on experience, starting from a baseline of £61,825, and successful applicants will also benefit from a supportive educational framework.
