The Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust is seeking a Consultant Medical Oncologist specializing in Melanoma and Renal cancers. The role involves collaborating with senior and consultant colleagues to deliver effective oncology services, including participating in the out-of-hours on-call service for telephone support and managing major incidents. Responsibilities also include providing coverage during colleagues' leave, engaging in medical audits and research, and ensuring compliance with clinical governance standards.
Candidates will be expected to maintain communication with hospital staff involved in patient care, ensuring they can contact the consultant as needed. The position emphasises teamwork within the department and commitment to high-quality patient care and safety.

To provide cover for Consultant and Senior colleagues in respect of periods of leave.
In conjunction with Consultant and Senior colleagues, to take part in medical audit and research as appropriate.
In conjunction with Consultant and Senior colleagues, to ensure that the requirements of clinical governance are met.
To ensure that there are adequate arrangements for hospital staff involved in the care of your patients to be able to contact you when necessary.
