The role of Team Lead Physiotherapist for Therapies in Adult Critical Care & Cardiac at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is designed for an experienced physiotherapist with ICU knowledge. The position entails managing the physiotherapy services across the Oxford Critical Care unit and the Churchill Intensive Care unit, which includes a diverse patient population with complex conditions. The successful candidate will have responsibilities in clinical management, operational oversight, governance, and team development, overseeing a staff of 10 physiotherapists and collaborating with other allied health professionals.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate robust skills in ICU physiotherapy, support the development and well-being of team members, and engage in both clinical practice and strategic planning. They will be responsible for maintaining evidence-based practice, managing a complex caseload, contributing to service development, and ensuring high-quality patient care while fostering a supportive learning environment for junior staff. Essential functions include coordinating multidisciplinary care, participating in quality assurance initiatives, and liaising with critical care networks across the Trust to enhance service delivery.
