The Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Health Play Specialist for a 12-month fixed-term contract within the Therapeutic and Specialised Play Service at Royal Manchester Children's Hospital, along with Wythenshawe and Trafford Hospitals. The role requires a candidate with a Foundation Degree in Healthcare Play Specialism or a previous Level 4 qualification, and an up-to-date registration with the Health Play Specialist Education Trust. The specialist will improve patient care by implementing techniques such as procedural preparation, distraction therapy, and developmental play while collaborating within a multi-disciplinary team.

The position entails flexible working hours and involves interaction with various healthcare professionals and patient referrals. The Health Play Specialist will also engage in documentation, meetings, and contribute to patient experience agendas and public health initiatives.
