The Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a full-time Highly Specialised Clinical Psychologist for a Band 8b position within the Paediatric Psychology Service. This role focuses on developing and delivering psychological services for children and young people in the Paediatric Pain and Major Trauma Services. The successful candidate will collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to provide psychological assessments, interventions, and training, while also leading service improvements and supervising staff. A substantial background in health psychology, particularly experience working with children and families, is required.

The psychologist will manage complex psychological cases, provide specialist assessments and therapies, and contribute to service evaluation and research initiatives. Additionally, there is flexibility regarding working hours, with part-time options available. The position is supported by a well-established team and emphasises a collaborative approach within the broader Psychology in Healthcare department.
