An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Oncology, Haematology, Immunology & Allergy, Palliative Care and Medical Physics Directorate that may be for you.
We are looking to appoint a Receptionist, to be the central point of contact for the Cancer Centre at the Royal Stoke Hospital working on both the radiotherapy and chemotherapy reception desks. Rotational cover will also be required to cover annual leave at County Hospital. The right person for us will need to be organised, possess excellent communication skills and be able to adapt to a busy and challenging work environment.
If you are successful, you will be greeting and booking in new arrivals to both the radiotherapy and chemotherapy unit (rotating between the two), ensuring that all patient information systems are kept up to date and helping to create and maintain a friendly atmosphere for our patients
The post holder will need to have good IT skills as this role will involve a lot of computer work. The ideal person will be dynamic, able to think on their feet and prioritise their work load according to the needs of the unit. The ideal person will be able to remain calm under pressure, have excellent communication skills and will foster excellent working relationships with the medical and nursing teams.
