The Birmingham Women's and Children's NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a qualified Blood Transfusion Practitioner to join their team, based primarily at Birmingham Children's Hospital. The role requires a strong degree of autonomy and collaboration with various healthcare teams including nurses, doctors, and anaesthetists. Key responsibilities include participating in the hospital transfusion committee, conducting training on blood collection and administration, and ensuring compliance with guidelines and standards relevant to blood transfusion practices.

Candidates from backgrounds such as Biomedical Scientists, Nurses, Theatre Practitioners, or Midwives with transfusion-related experience are encouraged to apply. The successful applicant will be responsible for improving transfusion practices, managing educational programs, and supporting compliance with regulatory bodies.
