The Sussex Community NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a part-time Community Nursery Nurse to join the Healthy Child Programme team in Burgess Hill. The ideal candidate should be an enthusiastic early years practitioner, experienced in working with children and families facing a variety of health and developmental needs. Key responsibilities include delivering evidence-based advice on child health, nutrition, and safety, conducting developmental reviews, and providing health promotion sessions, all while working closely with health visitors and registered nurses. A relevant qualification in early years education or childcare is required, along with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

The role involves considerable driving within the Mid Sussex South area, and the candidate will need reliable access to a car. The Community Nursery Nurse will play a vital part in promoting children's well-being from birth to age five, identifying potential health concerns, and supporting vulnerable families by adhering to safeguarding protocols. The position entails both clinical responsibilities as well as contributing to the overall objectives of ensuring all children have the best possible start in life.
