The Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Spinal Fellow in Neurosurgery to join their team at the John Radcliffe Hospital starting in August 2025. This one-year position offers comprehensive training in managing adult patients with various spinal pathologies, focusing on both diagnostic techniques and a range of surgical and non-surgical treatments. The fellow will gain extensive experience, particularly in minimally invasive surgical techniques and surgical management of degenerative spine conditions, tumors, and trauma. Candidates will also participate in the integration of the Spinal Neurosurgery service with the Spinal Orthopaedic service, enhancing their training in spinal surgery.

The role includes leading daily ward rounds, managing postoperative patients, and overseeing both scheduled and unscheduled surgical admissions. The fellow will participate in surgical procedures, lead outpatient clinics, contribute to multidisciplinary team meetings, and engage in the on-call rota. Opportunities for audit, research, and teaching within the Oxford Teaching Programme are also encouraged. Candidates must hold full GMC registration, and the position is governed by NHS medical and dental terms and conditions.
