As Matron you will have responsibility for the delivery of high quality, responsive, safe and effective care that improves patient outcomes and patient experience.
A high profile, accessible and responsive leader with managerial responsibility for nursing service delivery and advice across Children's services. Working as a nursing lead within the group management structure, demonstrating and developing collaborative working within and across the MDT. The Modern Matron has a pivotal role in creating the best experiences and opportunities for our staff to become local, national, and international leaders in healthcare with the patient at the centre of everything we do.
The Modern Matron's role is to empower others to strive for continuous evidenced based improvements and to motivate staff to always deliver the highest quality care to all who access our services to promote World Class Care at UHCW NHS Trust. The matron will be able to make informed decisions within their own speciality and scope of professional practice, involving patients and public to ensure agreed standards, targets and objectives are met. The key focus is on quality improvements in safety, effectiveness, and patient experience in addition to corporate responsibilities, supporting other colleagues and paediatric on call rotas within the speciality. The matron will also be responsible for delivering the goals as described within the Matron's Charter (2taking a proactive as well as reactive stance on cleaning standards and infection control. Ensuring the voice of the child is at the heart of the care delivery and service design.
