CASELOAD NHS OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY
The University Hospital of North Midlands NHS Trust is seeking a Senior Occupational Therapist specializing in Palliative Care to join their Palliative Therapy team at County Hospital. This position involves a unique split role between the hospice and the acute hospital, focusing on providing palliative medicine, managing complex cases, and facilitating rehabilitation for patients with long-term life-limiting conditions. The therapist will work autonomously, prioritizing their caseload across various settings, and will be involved in developing new wellbeing services for the local community alongside interactive sessions targeted at fatigue management.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to supervise Occupational Therapy students and be part of a larger therapies team, benefiting from extensive learning and development opportunities, including training programs and connections with several universities. Flexible working arrangements and part-time options are available, and supervision will be provided by an Advanced Therapist to foster continual professional development. Interested candidates can contact Clare Johnson for more information on the application process.
