The Senior CRISS Practitioner role at Leeds and York Partnership NHS Foundation Trust is a permanent Band 6 position aimed at skilled Occupational Therapists, Mental Health Nurses, or Social Workers to join the Crisis Resolution Intensive Support Service (CRISS). The successful candidate will engage in 24/7 crisis assessments and home-based treatments for working-age adults, working within a multi-disciplinary team focused on reducing hospital admissions and facilitating early discharges. Key responsibilities include conducting risk assessments, coordinating care planning, providing supervision and leadership to junior staff, and ensuring effective communication and collaboration with community and inpatient services.

The role emphasises a client-centered approach rooted in service user involvement, supporting ongoing professional development and a philosophy of teamwork. Practitioners are expected to demonstrate the NHS 'Six C's' (care, compassion, competence, communication, courage, and commitment) and may take on designated areas of practice. A full driver’s license and the ability to work shifts are essential requirements. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in shaping the future direction of the CRISS service while adhering to professional standards and trust policies.
