The Dental Core Trainee position at Broomfield with Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust offers an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in oral and maxillofacial surgery within a supportive and busy clinical environment. The role involves participation in a 1 in 8 full shift on-call rota, working closely with consultants and other healthcare professionals. Responsibilities include managing outpatient clinics, performing minor and major operating sessions under supervision, responding to emergencies, and engaging in cross-covering activities as needed.

The position is ideal for candidates with full registration with the General Dental Council (GDC) seeking to enhance their skills at the Dental Core Trainee level. Support and training will be provided in all facets of oral and maxillofacial surgery and oral medicine, including participation in joint clinics with various specialties. The role emphasises the importance of clinical responsibility under consultant supervision while also promoting professional development through audits, educational sessions, and maintaining up-to-date practices in patient care.
