Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board is seeking a full-time Mental Health Liaison Practitioner to join their Mental Health Liaison Team at the Royal Glamorgan Hospital. This role involves providing comprehensive assessments and support to adults presenting with mental health issues, particularly those with unexplained medical conditions, incidents of self-harm, or co-occurring physical and mental health problems. The practitioner will work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team, demonstrating excellent communication, assessment, and organisational skills, while also contributing to the ongoing development of the liaison service.

Ideal candidates should possess a sound knowledge of current clinical practices, safeguarding procedures, and relevant mental health legislation. They will need a positive attitude, the ability to work autonomously and within a team, and an enthusiasm for making a difference in the lives of individuals with mental health difficulties. The role includes providing training for nursing students and other healthcare professionals, and effective communication with various healthcare stakeholders is essential. Fluency in Welsh is desirable but not mandatory.
