To be part of a team of clinical scientists and technicians supporting and maintaining specialist clinical and dental equipment at all sites within The Barts Health NHS Trust on rotational basis and to various NHS and private healthcare organisations with whom Service Level Agreements or contracts exist.
We are looking for suitable candidate to train as a Clinical Engineering Apprentice. This is a Band3 post with Annex 21 rules applying
The postholder is expected to complete Level2 and Level4 training under a fixed term contract arrangement .
As part of your career development you will be offered in-house training..
Ideally you should have a minimum of five GCSEs at grade A* to C/9-4 (or equivalent qualification) including Mathematics, English and Science/ICT and A-levels in science or engineering subjects.
The Postholder will train on delivering scheduled preventative maintenance, servicing, non-routine repair, calibration, safety and acceptance testing on a wide range of medical equipment. The Postholder is required to work to high standards of safety and accountability.
The postholder is required to provide cover for the Equipment Library Service.
The Postholder needs to show good progress in the academic training.
