The Head of Resilience at SECamb in Crawley is tasked with ensuring that the organisation complies with Emergency Preparedness Resilience and Response (EPRR) requirements as mandated by various legislative acts and NHS standards. The role includes fulfilling the responsibilities of the Accountable Emergency Officer (AEO), developing and testing emergency preparedness plans, and fostering collaboration with key agencies both within and outside the NHS. The incumbent will also ensure senior representation at Local Resilience Forums, oversee the EPRR policy statement, manage the annual winter plan, and provide regular updates to management regarding compliance and strategic preparedness for major events.

In addition to maintaining compliance with national security standards and ensuring effective communication with staff and management, the Head of Resilience will serve as the primary contact for military liaison related to emergency response programs. This strategic position requires a holistic approach to resilience across the South East Coast Ambulance Service, focusing on integrated planning and execution of emergency response efforts during significant incidents and mass gatherings.
