The Outpatient Co-Ordinator at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust will manage the entire outpatient process within the Palliative Care service, supervising staff and delegating tasks as appropriate. Key responsibilities include handling outpatient referrals, booking appointments, typing clinic letters, and ensuring data quality in the Patient Administration System. The role requires collaboration with the management team to optimize clinic utilisation and maintain capacity to meet patient demand, including overseeing the consultant annual leave process and monitoring clinic structures.

Additionally, the Outpatient Co-Ordinator will ensure compliance with Trust procedures regarding referrals, communicate effectively with patients and healthcare professionals, and maintain accurate records within various systems. The post necessitates strong organisational and communication skills to ensure efficient patient care and adherence to departmental standards.
