This job opportunity as a Second Chef at Barchester Healthcare in Church Stretton offers the chance to work with fresh, seasonal food and have a better work-life balance. As a Second Chef at Barchester Healthcare, you will work 30 hours per week across 3 x 10 hour shifts, with alternate weekend working required. You will assist the Head Chef in creating nutritious, flavorsome, and well-balanced menus for the residents, while also contributing to a warm and welcoming environment in the home. Your responsibilities will include managing the kitchen in the Head Chef's absence, assisting with menu development, working with fresh produce to deliver high-quality and wholesome dishes, creating a warm and efficient work environment, working within budget, completing regular audits, and managing stock control.
