The North East London Foundation Trust (NELFT) is seeking a Clinical Lead for its Children & Young People's Mental Health Services (CYPMHS) in Sheerness, Kent. This role is aimed at a seasoned clinical psychologist, family therapist, or psychotherapist with substantial experience in addressing the emotional and psychological challenges faced by children and young people, particularly those with moderate to severe learning disabilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading service development, ensuring evidence-based practices, managing clinical outcomes, and providing supervision to other clinicians. Additionally, the role involves collaborative work with key agencies to enhance service delivery and foster partnerships within the community.

The CYPMHS focuses on early intervention and comprehensive care for patients aged 0-25, emphasizing emotional well-being alongside mental health. Responsibilities include conducting assessments, developing care plans, and implementing early interventions for various mental health difficulties, including mood disorders, anxiety, and neurodevelopmental conditions. The service operates through a multi-disciplinary team approach, integrating feedback and results to continually improve care pathways, ultimately aiming to delay or reduce the need for specialized interventions.
