The University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Senior Theatre Practitioner for their Eye Theatre Daycase Unit at the Royal Derby Hospital. This role involves assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating surgical and anaesthetic care while ensuring patient dignity and safety. The successful candidate will act as a patient advocate within a multidisciplinary environment and must demonstrate strong leadership skills to support and mentor junior staff, coordinate team activities, and provide high-quality, individualized patient care.

Additionally, the Senior Theatre Practitioner will perform various roles, including that of an Operating Department Practitioner (ODP), anaesthetic nurse, and scrub practitioner, while also being responsible for the management of the healthcare environment. This position requires effective communication, the ability to collaborate with the multidisciplinary team, and support for innovative clinical practices.
