University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced Band 8a Advanced Clinical Practitioner to join its Trauma and Orthopaedic (T&O) Service. The role aims to enhance the 24/7 service provision by improving patient care continuity and quality, facilitating prompt admissions, and optimizing discharge processes. The practitioner will work autonomously, managing a defined patient group under the guidance of a consultant, and will be responsible for clinical assessment, non-medical prescribing, and providing specialist advice to patients and colleagues.

Candidates must hold a Level 7 master's degree in advanced clinical practice, including non-medical prescribing, and have at least two years of relevant secondary care experience in trauma and orthopaedics. The ideal applicant will demonstrate strong leadership skills, enthusiasm for service development, and a commitment to high standards of patient care.
