Engagement in meaningful patient-care activities, including the chairing of review meetings and offering crisis appointments.
The Consultant Psychiatrist in General Adult Psychiatry role at Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust involves overseeing the Greenwich West Intensive Case Management for Psychosis Team (ICMp). This position supports patients with complex mental health needs, engaging in multidisciplinary meetings, prioritizing patient contacts, and developing crisis plans. The consultant will not be responsible for inpatient care but will contribute to community bed management strategies and may participate in crisis clinic appointments or home visits as necessary.

The successful candidate will conduct four outpatient clinics weekly, managing 4-5 patients per appointment, while ensuring timely assessments for new referrals. They will also chair review meetings and provide guidance to general practitioners regarding patient care. Flexibility in managing scheduling is expected to accommodate the dynamic needs of the caseload.
