The Cumbria, Northumberland, Tyne and Wear (CNTW) NHS Foundation Trust is looking to hire a full-time Band 6 Specialist Speech and Language Therapist for the Central Northumberland Community Treatment team in Ashington. The ideal candidate will be dynamic, motivated, and possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, focusing on delivering high-quality secondary mental health care in the community. Responsibilities include conducting evidence-based assessments and interventions, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, supervising and supporting team members and students, and maintaining effective communication with community services and partner organisations.

Candidates should have specialized clinical experience in mental health services and be able to handle a varied caseload while providing patient-centered care. A dysphagia qualification is preferred, and the ability to work flexibly and creatively in a demanding environment is essential. The role also requires excellent organisational skills and a commitment to enhancing the team's performance through knowledge sharing. Travel is expected as part of the role.
