King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and The National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery (NHNN) in Queen Square are seeking applications for an advanced fellowship in Complex Spinal Neurosurgery. This clinical fellowship, part of a program approved by the Royal College of Surgeons England, is designed for experienced neurosurgical trainees to gain sub-specialty expertise in various areas of complex spine neurosurgery, including spinal oncology, degenerative conditions, and trauma. Fellows will receive training in advanced surgical techniques, including minimally invasive approaches and spinal robotics, and will gain hands-on experience in a nationally recognized reference center.

The fellowship, lasting 18 months, requires fellows to engage actively in clinical responsibilities, including patient care, surgical procedures, and outpatient clinics, while also contributing to data collection and research. The role will provide essential experience for those aspiring to consultant positions in complex spine neurosurgery, as well as continuous support for job applications. Successful candidates will collaborate with a diverse team of 22 consultant neurosurgeons and participate in the running of the neurosurgical service, ensuring continuity of patient care.
