The role of "Community Nurse - Learning Disabilities" with Dorset HealthCare University NHS Foundation Trust in Bournemouth requires an enthusiastic nurse who can deliver high-quality care within the community for individuals with learning disabilities. The successful candidate will work full-time (37.5 hours per week), primarily in partnership with patients, their families, and carers, to improve health outcomes and empower service users. Applicants should have strong interpersonal and communication skills, and be willing to collaborate with various healthcare professionals and services to ensure equitable care.

This position offers opportunities for professional development, including a structured induction program and career progression for both newly qualified and experienced nurses. The working hours are Monday to Friday from 9 am to 5 pm, with flexibility to accommodate individual needs. Candidates must be car drivers, and while the position is posted at band 6, applications from band 5 nurses will also be considered. Training on electronic documentation will be provided, and the team utilizes both virtual and in-person interactions to support service users effectively.
