The Warrington and Halton Teaching Hospitals NHSFT is seeking a Senior Optometrist to join their proactive Ophthalmology Department, which consists of a multidisciplinary team including consultants, optometrists, orthoptists, and healthcare staff. This full-time position entails core optometry duties, as well as specialized roles in areas such as cataract, glaucoma, and low vision care, with support for further training in various sub-specialties. The successful candidate will manage their own caseload, conduct clinical audits, and provide supervision to less experienced optometrists and students.

Candidates should possess a degree in Optometry and be registered with the General Optical Council; prior hospital experience is preferred but not mandatory. The role primarily takes place at Warrington, with opportunities to work in community clinics across the Warrington and Halton region, fostering a collaborative environment that prioritizes high-quality patient care.
