HUC is hiring for a Part Time NHS 111 Call Handler in Welwyn Garden City, aimed at those looking to make a difference in their community without requiring previous healthcare experience. In this role, you will act as the first point of contact for patients, managing both urgent and non-urgent cases while providing essential medical advice. Utilizing NHS Pathways software, you will assess patient conditions and direct them to the appropriate healthcare services.

The position involves a six-week training program that runs from 9 am to 5 pm, regardless of your contracted hours, emphasizing advanced listening and probing skills to ensure every patient receives accurate advice and is appropriately signposted. HUC, which serves over 4.5 million patients across various regions, is committed to delivering exceptional NHS 111 and Out of Hours GP services throughout the year.
