Walnut Medical Centre in Leicester is seeking an experienced Practice Nurse to join their collaborative team. Candidates must have a background in General Practice, with essential training in vaccinations and cervical smears. Additional skills in chronic disease management, particularly in diabetes and travel vaccinations, would be advantageous. The role offers part-time hours, typically around 24 per week, with flexibility to accommodate a healthy work-life balance.

The position entails performing standard duties associated with practice nursing, including immunisations and smears, from the outset. We have an exciting opportunity for a practice nurse to join our friendly team of forward thinking General Practice Staff.

The candidate MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE OF GENERAL PRACTICE

Completed training in vaccinations and cervical smears is essential with additional skills in chronic disease management an advantage.

Diabetes enhanced management and travel vaccinations would also be advantageous.

We are a high performing practice with high QOF achievement and rated CQC Good in all areas . The role allows part time working and has some flexibility in the hours worked and will allow the candidate to maintain an effective work life balance.

Hours can be discussed but we are aiming for around 24 hours per week or over although this can be increased or decreased by mutual agreement /discussion

SALARY Competitive and open to negotiation plus pension and range from £25 to £30 per hour plus pension depending on experience
