University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic General Practitioner for the Wessex Rapid Investigation Service (RIS), which was established in 2020 to provide a fast-track referral route for cancer patients presenting with non-specific symptoms. The role involves delivering safe, effective, and evidence-based medical care, while working within a multidisciplinary team in a virtual setting.

Candidates should possess excellent leadership and communication skills, with a strong clinical judgment to make decisions and manage risks effectively. The position is suited for experienced GPs who are either currently practicing or have recently done so, and who are skilled in building collaborative relationships with various stakeholders. The successful applicant will be employed under the terms for Specialty Doctors England (2021).
