The role of "Senior Clinical Fellow in Emergency Medicine 80:20 SARC" at the Bristol Royal Infirmary, part of the University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust, combines 80% work in the Adult Emergency Department (ED) and 20% at the Sexual Assault Referral Centre (SARC). This position is ideal for individuals interested in paediatrics, adolescent healthcare, sexual health, mental health, and safeguarding, offering opportunities to work within a focused team on forensic medicine and trauma-informed care for victims of sexual abuse. The post allows for specialisation in various fields, including education, global health, toxicology, and more, with a strong emphasis on clinical governance and participation in audit projects.

The successful candidate will receive supervision from senior medical staff, fostering their development in diagnosing and managing emergency cases while ensuring patient safety. The role involves on-call commitments within a full shift system, with a balanced mix of working hours. Both trainees and non-trainees are encouraged to apply, and opportunities exist for those with a UK National Training Number in Emergency Medicine to pursue Out of Programme Training (OOPT) or Out of Programme Experience (OOPE).
