The Quality Lead Midwife at Birmingham Women's and Children's NHS Foundation Trust will provide clinical and operational leadership within the Birmingham and Solihull Local Maternity and Neonatal services. This role focuses on ensuring safe practices and robust processes in the maternity system, collaborating with providers to enhance quality and safety, and addressing compliance with relevant plans and recommendations. The Quality Lead Midwife will utilize both qualitative and quantitative data to identify quality concerns, oversee provider contracts and reports, and advocate for service users and staff.

In this position, the successful candidate will participate in senior meetings, work closely with an Independent Chair to generate reports for the System Quality Group, and ensure that quality and safety considerations are integrated into all maternity and neonatal projects, with an emphasis on equity and equality. The role requires strong leadership, critical thinking, and a commitment to upholding the highest standards in care delivery.
