The Director of Workforce Strategy and Transformation at NHS England will hold a pivotal leadership position within the South East Workforce, Training, and Education (WT&E) leadership team. This role involves supporting the Regional Director in achieving national and regional workforce objectives, overseeing statutory workforce priorities, managing allocated budgets, and leading various teams focused on workforce supply, clinical professions, and planning. The director will also play a crucial role in workforce transformation by collaborating with Integrated Care Boards (ICBs), Trusts, and other stakeholders to enhance the delivery of workforce training and education in line with national strategies such as the NHS Long Term Plan.

In this capacity, the director will ensure effective communication and engagement across local, regional, and national partners, demonstrating a strong commitment to Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion. Additionally, they will provide subject matter expertise to support workforce recovery priorities and programs, and will step in for the Regional Director in their absence, attending relevant regional meetings to ensure continued strategic leadership and coordination.
