The role of Sterile Services Supervisor at Wirral University Teaching Hospital involves overseeing the sterilisation of surgical instruments essential for the operation of 25 theatres across two sites. The Supervisor will manage daily staff allocations, ensure timely processing of sterilized equipment, and handle documentation to comply with decontamination and ISO standards. This position also includes training new staff and junior team members, while reporting directly to the Deputy Theatre Manager.

The Sterile Services department is critical to maintaining high standards in theatre operations, particularly as new facilities have recently been developed. The Supervisor will be responsible for prioritizing workloads, creating work rotas, and ensuring effective communication within the team to meet the service demands.
