The Mid Yorkshire Teaching NHS Trust is seeking a General Porter for Dewsbury Hospital. This full-time position (37.5 hours per week) involves supporting the safe transfer of patients, assisting with specimen and equipment collection, and managing clinical and household waste. The role requires working varied shifts between 06:00 am and 06:00 am across five days a week. Key responsibilities include moving patients by wheelchair, trolley, or bed, escorting visitors, ensuring the cleanliness and safety of transport equipment, and responding to emergency calls. The successful candidate will need to be courteous and caring, work collaboratively within the Operational Portering Team, and may occasionally supervise new staff. Note: This position is not eligible for Skilled Worker route sponsorship.
