The Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital NHS Trust is offering a rewarding opportunity for a Medicines Optimisation Pharmacy Technician, with progression from Band 5 to Band 6 upon completion of a Level 4 Clinical Diploma. The role requires a forward-thinking, highly motivated technician to provide a high-quality, safe pharmaceutical service as part of a multidisciplinary clinical team. The successful candidate will engage in various clinical pharmacy activities across specialties, including pre-operative assessments, rehabilitation medicine, clinical trials, and critical care.

This full-time position involves collaboration with pharmacists and other healthcare providers to ensure effective patient care and medication management. Candidates should possess strong communication and computer skills, and previous NHS experience is preferred. The role offers significant professional development opportunities and the chance to contribute to departmental training and quality improvement initiatives while fulfilling essential duties such as dispensing medications and participating in patient education and adherence training. Candidates must hold a Level 3 BTEC and NVQ in Pharmacy Services or equivalent and be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
