Are you looking to develop your career and join a team passionate about diabetes care?
We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated dietitian who is enthusiastic about providing a high-quality service to patients with diabetes in paediatrics.
You will work closely with consultant and nursing colleagues to provide support and education to children and their families in order to manage their Diabetes.
- Support MDT clinics, and joint dietitian-diabetes specialist nurse clinics.
- Provide support and education to people (and families/carer) with type 1 and type 2 diabetes and support management in the use of insulin pump therapy.
- The post holder will advise patients in face to face, telephone and virtual group sessions.
- Create/adapt and provide structured education course e.g. carbohydrate counting
- Take part in student training
- Capture data on quarterly basis to evaluate the service
