We have an exciting opportunity for a Advanced Clinical Practitioner at HMP Isle of Wight to join our team. HMP Isle of Wights present role is a category B male training prison. Located on a small island, HMP Isle of Wight is located 8 minutes from St Marys Hospital and 26 minutes away from Cowes Ferry Terminal.
Currently our core hours of operation are Primary care nurses 07:30 -17:30 IHU nurses rotate throughout 24/7 serviceThis position is full-time, working 37.5 hours and the salary is up to £58,025 per annum - Dependent on Experience.

Candidates are required to have a Legal right to work in the UK on a permanent basis and due to the nature of the role, offers of employment will be subject to additional vetting and security checks.
As an Advanced Clinical Practitioner you will provide
- Clinical leadership for primary care team; made up of a variety of registered and non-registered professionals
- You will act as a role model ensuring professional appearance and maintaining professional standards at all times.
- Supporting senior clinicians on site you will be part of the daily leadership team,
- Providing clinical input for all patients. As a clinical expert in your field, you will work with the team to ensure; patient safety, the management of complex cases and ensure the most up to date treatment methodology is applied to patient care.
- You'll be accountable for your practice including the assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and discharge or referral of patients, independent of medical intervention. Leading by example, you'll share your experience and knowledge by being involved in the educational and professional development of the nursing team through clinical supervision sessions both on the wings and formal teaching opportunities.
