The Christie Pathology Partnership (CPP) in Manchester is seeking a qualified and experienced Band 8a Laboratory Manager for its Blood Sciences department. This role involves managing and organizing a team of Biomedical Scientists and support staff, overseeing the delivery of high-quality biomedical analyses in Haematology and Biochemistry, while ensuring compliance with quality standards and key performance indicators. The successful candidate will possess an MSc or equivalent qualification, an IBMS Higher Specialist Diploma, HCPC registration, and strong leadership and problem-solving skills. Additional responsibilities include maintaining standard operating procedures, managing audits and quality assurance processes, and implementing new technologies.

Candidates must demonstrate advanced knowledge of analytical procedures, effective communication skills, and a commitment to continuous professional development.
