INFECTIOUS DISEASE MULTI-DISCIPLINARY
The UK Health Security Agency is seeking a Health Economist and Infectious Disease Modeller to join their Healthcare Associated Infection, Antimicrobial Resistance, and related divisions. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing health economic models to analyze healthcare-associated infections and antimicrobial resistant infections. This role involves utilizing complex datasets, synthesizing evidence, and assessing the cost-effectiveness of various public health interventions. The position requires effective collaboration within a multidisciplinary team, management of research programs, and contributions to policy-making through rigorous analysis and evaluation.

Candidates should have a master’s degree in economics, mathematics, or a relevant field along with experience in economic or statistical modelling and data analysis. The role emphasises strong communication skills, the ability to work within a team, and a proactive approach to research development. Additionally, the post-holder will be expected to publish scientific papers, present at professional meetings, and engage in international collaboration to enhance understanding and control of healthcare-associated infections and antimicrobial resistance.
