The Practice Plus Group is seeking a Senior Inpatient Care Nurse to join their Primary Care team at HMP Altcourse, a male category B prison in Fazakerley with a capacity of 1,164 inmates. The role involves leading a multi-disciplinary team in a 14-bed Inpatient Unit, providing care for patients with mental and physical health needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and lead a nurse-led service to prevent hospital admissions.
- Shift manage and perform various nursing duties including medication rounds and emergency response.
- Provide evidence-based, personalized care while promoting best practices and continuous quality improvement.
- Build strong relationships with partners and stakeholders.
Work Schedule and Compensation:
- Full-time position with a 37.5 hours per week commitment across a 7-day service.
- Salary ranges from £42,091.50 to £48,741 per annum, depending on experience.

7 day service - 24 hours a day - 37.5 hours per week. 6.45am - 8:15pm 7.45am - 9:15pm 7.45pm - 7.15amSalary
This position is full time, youll receive an annual salary from £42,091.50 to £48,741 per annum FTE - depending on experience.

As a Senior Inpatient Care Nurse, your responsibilities will vary. You will
- Lead a multi-disciplinary team to deliver a nurse led service and prevent hospital admissions
- to shift manage other services on a rotational basis not just IPU
- Form part of a senior pool of staff completing complaints/rota management/induction/1-2-1/Hr related incidents
- Undertake medication rounds, dispense controlled medication, attend emergency response situations, assess patients, and undertake reception screening
- Provide outstanding evidence based care to our patients, seeking out, listening to and acting on their feedback, so that care is personalised and informed by what matters to them.
