The Care Group Medical Director for Primary Care & Community at Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board is a key leadership role focused on transforming Primary and Community Services. The ideal candidate will be an active clinician and will collaborate with the Service Director, Nurse Director, and Dental Director to oversee medical aspects of care, ensuring high-quality patient care and adherence to professional standards. This position encompasses responsibility for governance, patient safety, and the effective management of clinical departments and teams within the Care Group.

As part of the Medical Director team, the post holder will work closely with Clinical Directors and engage with various Care Groups and Corporate Functions to enhance the overall wellbeing and care services for the Cwm Taf Morgannwg population. The role requires strong leadership skills to drive forward service redesigns, promote equity of access, and optimize resource deployment based on clinical needs, all while maintaining a focus on efficient and safe patient care delivery. Fluency in Welsh and/or English is encouraged for applicants.
