The Medical Records Assistant will be responsible for managing and processing patient medical records in compliance with established protocols. Key duties include summarizing and coding clinical information, coordinating patient registrations and record amendments, handling incoming correspondence, and administering medical records both incoming and outgoing. The role requires diligent organization, accurate summarization of patient histories, and adherence to confidentiality regulations.

Additional responsibilities include electronic filing, monitoring summarization progress against practice targets, and ensuring proper transportation of records within the practice. The post-holder must promote health and safety, respect patient and colleague rights and diversity, and participate in personal and professional development efforts.
