Dr. A Sulakshana and Partners (Barton Surgery) is seeking an experienced and qualified phlebotomist to join their busy practice on a part-time basis, specifically on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm. The role involves supporting the nursing team by collecting blood samples while adhering to practice guidelines and protocols, ensuring proper storage, labeling, and dispatch of samples. The phlebotomist will also prioritize patient comfort, verify patient identification, and communicate any significant issues to the GP and senior staff.

Dr A Sulakshana and Partners (Barton Surgery)is looking to welcome an experienced and qualified phlebotomist into our busy practice, to support our nursing team. The position is offered on a part-time basis for the following hours and days; Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, 8.30am - 12.30pm.
- Working strictly in accordance with specific practice guidelines and protocols toassist the practice clinical team in the provision and delivery of prescribed programmes of patient care;
- Collecting samples of blood in accordance with training and procedures, ensuring correct storage, labelling, recording and efficient dispatching of samples;
- Ensuring that the patient is as comfortable and relaxed as possible, and confirming their agreement to the collection of a blood sample;
- Checking patient identification against GP or nurse request, and confirming with the patient whenever possible;
- Ensuring that anomalies are reported to a senior member of staff;
- Notifying the GP of any significant patient issues;
- Liaising with and assisting members of the administrative team.
