The University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust is offering an exciting opportunity for a Deputy Sister/Charge Nurse on Ward 36 at Glenfield Hospital, a busy 24-bed emergency admission unit focusing on patients with hepato-biliary and pancreatic disorders. The ideal candidate will be an experienced Band 5 nurse with strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, dedicated to delivering high-quality patient care and safety. Responsibilities include supporting the ward sister in managing the team, assessing and planning patient care, supervising staff, mentoring students, and ensuring effective communication within the multidisciplinary team.

The role also entails driving quality initiatives, maintaining high nursing standards, and stepping in as Charge Nurse when necessary. The successful candidate will have the chance to develop their leadership skills while receiving guidance and training from the senior management team.
