The Countess of Chester Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a full-time Consultant Breast Radiologist to join its Breast Radiology Department. The successful applicant will work alongside a team of existing consultants and radiographers to deliver comprehensive diagnostic imaging services, including support for one-stop breast symptomatic clinics, screening reporting, and surveillance mammography. Responsibilities encompass performing vacuum-guided excisions of breast lesions, participating in multidisciplinary team meetings (MDTs), and contributing to the general workload of the Radiology Department, which includes ultrasound, CT, and MRI reporting.

The role also involves the development of breast services, training of STP trainees and ultrasonographers, and participation in departmental initiatives such as audits and equipment procurement. While the position is full-time, candidates interested in part-time or job share arrangements are encouraged to apply, with job content modifications available to suit service needs. The role requires participation in the general radiologist on-call rota, and applicants must be prepared to cover the costs of a DBS check upon appointment.
