The role involves providing face-to-face support to patients and visitors, ensuring a positive image of the organisation. Key responsibilities include greeting patients, booking appointments, managing prescription requests, handling routine inquiries, and ensuring effective communication about clinic updates. The receptionist will also maintain patient confidentiality, perform administrative duties, and contribute to the scheduling of appointments and room availability.

Candidates will be expected to maintain a clean and secure work environment, perform adequate handovers at the end of shifts, and provide coverage for colleagues during absences. Familiarity with IT systems for data collection and participation in ongoing training and performance reviews are also crucial aspects of the role.
