Your role
Everyone is different. That’s the simple truth at the core of our approach to care. And the care opportunities we offer are different, too, from taking clients to medical appointments or helping them get up in the morning, to spending a full twelve hours helping them through their day. Whatever you choose, you’ll be there to look after that person’s unique needs. We are currently looking for fun, caring, reliable and flexible people to join a team supporting a lovely, motivated, unique young lady with complex care needs. She has a passion for F1 and motorsport, Art, TV and film. Whilst in the workplace you would be expected to work with and support the young lady on a one to one basis, sometimes with another member of staff, providing clinical and personal care, supporting her with her studies, hobbies and social activities, as well as accompanying her on trips out.
Experience in the field of complex care is preferred, but if you are thinking of a change in career and want to make a difference, then challenge yourself and feel how rewarding it is. With the great training and education programme that all new staff receive you will soon have the skills and confidence to provide the highest quality of care. Our experienced nursing team and other competent healthcare support workers will teach you how to care for gastrostomies, tracheostomies and ventilation needs until you are competent. Sonderwell also provide ongoing regular support and development.
We are looking for female members of staff who are willing to work 12 hour day and waking night shifts on a full time or part time basis and ad hoc live-in care to cover leave.
