The role of the Coronary Care Unit/Cath Lab Clinical Support Worker at Eastbourne's East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust involves providing essential support in a busy 11-bedded unit for both elective and emergency patients, along with rotation into the Cardiac Catheter Laboratories. Applicants should ideally possess previous hospital experience and meet educational qualifications, including GCSEs in English and Maths, along with the Care Certificate or equivalent. Responsibilities include delivering delegated clinical procedures, performing physiological observations, escorting patients, providing personal care, and maintaining accurate documentation of interventions.

Successful candidates will undergo an induction course and receive ongoing mentorship and clinical supervision, promoting both professional development and high standards of patient care. The position requires effective teamwork, initiative, and strong communication skills, as the role involves direct support to patients, assisting with personal care needs, recording vital signs, escalating any concerns, and supervising junior support staff.
